Dr. Jagtiani is an expert in the area of bank risk. She has served in both Economic Research and Supervision & Regulation roles across multiple Federal Reserve banks, and is a Fellow at the Wharton Financial Institutions Center. Julapa publishes influential research in top finance journals, organizes conferences to connect regulators with academics and industry leaders, and is a frequent speaker at US and global forums. She has participated in and led several Federal Reserve system policy and regulatory task forces, has a deep understanding of financial system interconnections, and advises bankers on the use of quantitative methods for risk management. Julapa received her PhD in Finance from the NYU Stern School of Business, and was a Rockefeller Foundation Fellow.
